Key steps from medical school to today.
Op. Dr. Seda Asfuroğlu graduated second in her class from Istanbul Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine — a distinction earned in one of Türkiye's most selective medical programmes, and one that has formed the basis of every clinical decision she has made since.
Continuing her training at an international level, she carried out academic research with Prof. Dr. Juergen Koebke at the Institute of Anatomy of the University of Cologne — the formative period that shaped the "anatomy first" approach she still applies today in every surgical plan, from rhinoplasty to body contouring.
She completed her specialist training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital — moving on to consultant practice after seeing the full range of reconstructive trauma, paediatric and aesthetic cases at one of Istanbul's highest-volume training centres.
She took up her post as a consultant plastic surgeon at Medeniyet University Göztepe Training and Research Hospital and served there successfully for many years — running a consultation clinic, performing the full range of aesthetic and reconstructive operations, and contributing to the training of junior residents.
In 2017 Op. Dr. Asfuroğlu opened her own private clinic in order to bring the vision and perspective she had matured over a decade of training-hospital practice directly to her patients. The clinic deliberately operates on a small, single-surgeon model — quality of care rather than volume.
Op. Dr. Asfuroğlu holds the official International Health Tourism authorisation issued by the Turkish Ministry of Health and receives patients from Europe, the Gulf, North America, the Balkans and the CIS countries. She speaks advanced German and English, removing the language barrier that makes international care difficult.
With the International Health Tourism authorisation, Op. Dr. Asfuroğlu welcomes patients from Europe, the Gulf, North America and beyond. Consultations begin directly in the patient's own language.
